Deadpool

Movies are usually released in September, October and December time. This is because everyone usually has more time on their hands. Deadpool came out in February and I think that they did this because it would be the only big film out at the time; which would’ve ensured the success by the number of people going to see it. The success of a film is measured by many aspects but most are known ‘Box Office’ where all top successful films are categorized.

At the start of Deadpool they have a picture theme for the starting credits. They then go straight into the action. Deadpool is a comedy action film, which immediately starts with comedy. The film is rated ‘R’ and the age is rated fifteen. Personally I think it should be rated eighteen instead because of language in the film, also from the sexual content in the film.
Deadpool became a success because it was the only big film out in February. It also was open to more people to be able to see it due to the age rating fifteen. I also think it became a success because it drew in people from the very start with the starting credits; this is because the action and the comedy comes straight in. The film is a box office success because a lot of people went to see it and it made a lot of money.

The film does have a lot of bad language in, blood and gore and sexual scenes in. I think that this means that kids should not be watching the film. This brings down the rate of success by ages 15 and under. If they are seeing this film they will need to be supervised by their parents. Also this film could be an influence to under fifteens to start swearing because Deadpool is a comic book character which could be seen inspirational because of that.

The film achieved success because of its background of the character. The Deadpool character started off as a comic book character from Marvel, which most people would read especially children. However, the film made the character in a way that discarded the fact that children could not watch at a young age. This made it more appealing to teenagers because of the fact it had blood and gore in, that is what most teenagers like in a film.
In conclusion I think that the film was a success because more people went to see it. It was the only big film in February and this made more people feel the need to go see it whilst no other big films were out. As a Comic book character the film should’ve been made so that all ages could go see it without being influenced to do bad things. The fact the film started with pictures at the starting credits its very much persuading to keep watching as it’s explaining the battle scenes. Overall, the film achieved success because it was well executed in the making of it.
